LeYack's Twenty-Seven Steps, hand-signed, a limited edition giclée print on canvas (60 x 40 cm) from France, edition of 20 numbered copies, created in 2026, sold directly by the artist, with a certificate of authenticity and ready to frame.
Description from the seller
A long concrete staircase descends from the promenade toward the beach, at night. Halfway down, a young woman in a turquoise dress has stopped, hand on the railing, gazing out to sea. At the very top, under the single street light, a burgundy roadster awaits, top down.
Hitchcock turned stairs into the place of all hesitation, from Vertigo to North by Northwest. Descend toward the beach, or climb back up to the car? LeYack paints exactly the moment of hesitation.
The plunging perspective, the stark bare walls, and the single splash of light give the canvas a noir-film tension.
