AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

LOVE is a 70 x 100 cm painting by Flavia Delgado that explores the romantic imagination through a pop, direct, and emotional aesthetic.

The female figure, captured in a gesture of dreaming, becomes a symbol of loving thought: that intimate space where the mind fills with images, desires, and expectations. Floating hearts reinforce this narrative, transforming the scene into a visual representation of the feeling.

The use of vibrant, contrasted colors, along with the defined stroke, connects with the language of comics and contemporary visual culture, where the emotional is expressed clearly and immediately.

LOVE is a piece that speaks of illusion, fantasy, and that suspended moment in which love is still a pure idea.

Seller's Story

I present a pictorial work line strongly linked to illustration and artistic poster design. My works combine the language of classic poster art with the plastic freedom of contemporary painting: flat colors, defined contours, direct scenes, and a clear narrative sense. My work dialogues with the tradition of 20th-century poster art, especially with the universe of Art Deco and European and North American advertising posters, where authors like A. M.. Cassandre, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, and Leonetto Cappiello used synthetic imagery and color for visual impact. There are also affinities with European comic graphics and the clear line, from Hergé to modern editorial illustration. In my paintings, I depict interiors, architectures, figures, and travel scenes—such as roads, vintage cars, or landscapes—approached from a graphic perspective reminiscent of posters and illustrated books, but transferred to the realm of painting on paper and canvas. I aim for each image to function like a frame or a narrative poster, capable of suggesting a broader story without needing to explain it.
