Description from the seller
"Retícula" explores geometry as a language capable of building relationships between order and perception. Through patterns, symmetries, and repetitions, the series investigates how the most elemental forms can give rise to visually complex compositions. The circle, the curve, and the color plane are articulated into structures where each element finds its meaning in relation to the others, establishing a constant dialogue between unity and the whole.
Repetition is not presented here as a reproduction of the identical, but as a possibility of transformation. The axes of symmetry act as mirrors that multiply and reorganize the shapes, while intersections generate new spaces, transparencies, and chromatic relationships. Each meeting point becomes a place of exchange, where the boundaries between figures blur and the same form can acquire different meanings depending on its position, overlap, or correspondence with others.
In this series, design and painting converge in a reflection on harmony, balance, and the invisible structures that organize our perception. Geometric precision coexists with the sensitivity of color, giving rise to an order that, far from being rigid, remains open to multiple readings. Retícula thus offers a gaze at the beauty of relationships: a geometry in which what is essential does not reside solely in forms, but in what happens when they meet.
About MUMA:
MUMA is an artistic duo formed by a Generalist 3D Practitioner and Designer and an Art Historian, both trained at CEU San Pablo University in Madrid. Their artistic practice centers on the visual arts, with special interest in color, movement, and the dynamism of shapes, as well as variations in the environment. Their work is conceived to integrate into space and establish a direct dialogue with routine and human experience, exploring a vital vision linked to the ideals of Impressionism, such as the relationship with nature, color, and changing environments. MUMA is connected to the professional world of digital and plastic arts in Madrid, with participation in competitions.
About preparation, packaging, and shipping of the artwork:
The work is hand-signed by the artistic duo and comes with a certificate of authenticity also signed by them.
