This sculpture has an incredible presence. A brutal play of textures between the earthy roughness of the bust and the glossy, metallic, silver droplets that slide from the top.
That contrast creates a striking tension, between the organic, human and volcanic, and a flow that seems to illuminate, purify and transform the figure.
Technique: Fully handmade, without molds. Born layer by layer with recycled paper, plaster and cement until achieving a skin that looks like volcanic rock, porous, black, raw, like cooled lava. The silvery flow that runs through it is its light, its catharsis.
Signature: Hand-signed at the base.
Dimensions: 49 x 23 x 20 cm. Weight: 1.5 kg.
