"Gipsies, Gypsies, Gitans, Bohemians, Manouches or Zingari depending on the country... we call these eternal travelers the people of the wind. Their legends celebrate nature and tell their magical powers, communicate with animals, read the lines of the hand... The square evokes their myths, beliefs and symbols. Surrounded by dancing Gypsy women, a tree of life welcomes musicians, jugglers and animals. The wheel, that of the roulettes and that of fortune, is an omnipresent emblem.
At the bottom of the square a detail illustrates the legend of Sara, the Black Virgin of the Roma (in French Roms, the name that designates this people since 1971)."
