Grassi Cilo Vintage - Classic Steel Racing Bicycle from Shimano 600

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
In the auction, a rare and elegant vintage racing bicycle signed Grassi Cilo, a splendid example of the traditional artisanal frame-building heritage. The steel frame features a brilliant electric blue metallic paint, enhanced by a chrome front fork and the original Grassi decals on the head tube and Cilo on the main tubes.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS AND VISIBLE COMPONENTS
The bicycle is equipped with premium vintage Shimano 600 components. The transmission includes a Shimano 600 rear derailleur, a clamp-on Shimano 600 front derailleur, downtube shifters, and a double-chainring aluminum crankset with era-appropriate pedals featuring toe clips and leather straps. The braking system consists of vintage center/side-pull brake calipers with red cables and housings for contrast. The cockpit features a classic aluminum handlebar stem with a road-race bend wrapped in black tape. The saddle is a black, sporty anatomical model mounted on an aluminum seat post. Completing the setup are a metal bottle cage and vintage racing wheels with aluminum rims and Schwalbe Blizzard tires.

CONDITION AND RECOMMENDED WORK
Being a vintage specimen that was kept in a collection or storage for some time, the frame and main components are solid and well-preserved, but a quick general service, chain lubrication, and inspection of fasteners and cables before road use are advisable. Aesthetically it retains its authentic vintage patina, showing light, natural signs of age, such as some paint chipping and slight superficial blooming on the chrome parts and mechanical components.
