AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Here the artist offers an original encounter between Japanese pop culture and the aesthetics of the great Gothic stained glass windows. Inspired by the Dragon Ball Z universe, the painting transposes several of its emblematic characters into a composition that adopts the codes of medieval stained glass.

Made in 3D print on a 60 × 40 cm acrylic glass slab of 3 mm thickness, the work thus combines a contemporary technique with a visual language directly inspired by Gothic architectural heritage.

At the center of the composition appears Son Goku, recognizable by his orange outfit and determined posture. On the left, Vegeta, shown in Super Saiyan, imposes a vertical and solemn presence. His posture and concentrated expression evoke the pride, power, and rivalry that characterize the character. On the right, Trunks, with his purple hair and blue outfit, adds a third silhouette that completes the balance of the triptych.
The upper part of the stained glass hosts a Dragon Ball, placed as a centerpiece in the architectural portion of the glass panel.

The two medallions located in the lower part add an additional narrative dimension. Here you can find Beerus, the God of Destruction, and Master Roshi, emblematic figure from the early days of the Dragon Ball adventure.

This work thus lets gothic Medieval, manga culture, and contemporary manufacturing technologies dialogue, transforming the heroes of Dragon Ball Z into figures of a new visual mythology.

ASTRAM, pseudonym of pop art artist Richard Saint-Amans, produces works in which he imagines offbeat situations, inviting each viewer to read them through their own imagination. His attachment to the pop and subsequent decades is expressed in unique and renewed creations.

Here, ASTRAM’s nod to Manga or comic characters, Rock Stars, actors from cult films or series that define the pop and subsequent years, is expressed in unique and renewed creations.

Its works, present in several galleries, can be found with many collectors around the world.

The colors are here fixed in the glass of this slab, inlaid and protected from light and UV, with optimal sharpness on a vividly colored acrylic glass. Beautiful depth of field, work with deep blacks and vibrant colors. Thanks to the glossy finish, the work can achieve maximum expressivity from every angle.

The rear suspension is hidden and keeps a distance from the wall. In this way, the acrylic glass artwork seems to float freely on the wall, giving it an art gallery style.
