Description from the seller

Grandis Veneto Vintage - Vintage Steel Racing Bicycle Campagnolo Nuovo Record

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
In this auction is a fascinating and prestigious vintage racing bicycle signed by Grandis, the renowned Veronese frame-maker of the highest artisanal caliber. The steel frame features exquisite pantographs with the Grandis “G” carved into the bottom bracket shell, the fork crown, the joints, and the head tube. The livery stands out for a splendid metallic violet/fuchsia paint and for the fully chromed front fork, paired with the chromed right rear stays. A masterpiece of Italian frame-building tradition, ideal for collectors and for cycle heritage events like L'Eroica.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS AND VISIBLE COMPONENTS
The bicycle boasts a premium complete Campagnolo Nuovo Record groupset from the era. The transmission includes a Campagnolo Nuovo Record rear derailleur, lightened front derailleur with a perforated cage Campagnolo Record, aluminum double chainring, and downtube shifters marked Patent Campagnolo. The braking system uses classic era brake calipers and Campagnolo headset bearings. The cockpit features an aluminum handlebar stem with a race-style bend wrapped in brown leather-look tape and integrated brake levers. The saddle is a vintage San Marco Rolls in suede/leather from the era, mounted on an aluminum seatpost engraved with the Campagnolo crest. Completing the package are 28-inch wheels with vintage aluminum rims.

CONDITION AND RECOMMENDED WORKS
Being a vintage example preserved in a collection and kept idle in storage for a long time, the frame structure and mechanical components show generally good condition. As a historical means kept at rest, before hitting the road a quick routine inspection is advised, along with regreasing and lubrication of the moving parts, adjustment of the cables, and check of the tires. Aesthetically it retains its authentic original patina, showing small and physiological signs of time and paint chips that testify to its history.

SHIPPING AND PACKING NOTES
The lot will be packed with extreme care and shipped via a trackable insured courier. Note that, most likely to ensure safer shipping and to reduce package volume, some parts of the bicycle may be removed, such as pedals, saddle, wheels, and the handlebar turned.
