Magnificent painter's mannequin - lay figure
Probably dating from the first half of the last century
These kinds of mannequins, very rare, are also called “metaphysical” and are constantly depicted in the canvases of the leading exponents of Italian Metaphysical painting from the last century
The mannequin is presented in overall excellent condition despite its age, the joints work correctly and it bears a magnificent patina of time.
Note a burn mark on the rear part, visible in the photo. Probably due to being mistakenly placed against a small stove that painters often used in their studios.
