BarBeni (1981) - Eleganz in Blau

Description:

ELEGANZ IN BLAU is an original oil painting by contemporary artist BarBeni. The work portrays an elegant woman wearing a striking red wide-brimmed hat, matching scarf and clothing.

The dominant red palette creates a powerful and sophisticated visual identity, contrasted by the intense blue eyes of the portrayed woman. Sparkling jewellery adds delicate highlights and reinforces the glamorous character of the composition.

The close-up composition places particular emphasis on the expressive gaze, facial features and rich painterly textures of the fabric. The result is a contemporary portrait with a distinctive fashion-inspired and cinematic atmosphere.

**Technique and Materiality**

The distinctive character of this painting is achieved through a personally developed painting technique that combines different materials and artistic mediums\. The specific composition and application of these materials are the result of numerous experiments, repeated trials, and years of experience in an ongoing creative process\.

Through the deliberate layering and manipulation of textures, captivating surfaces are created that respond differently to light, lending the artwork a remarkable sense of visual depth\. The sparkling jewellery, the velvety texture of the gloves, and the subtle transitions between light and shadow contribute to the painting’s expressive and sophisticated character\.

The combination of realistic representation, intricate surface textures, and an intense colour palette gives this artwork its distinctive aesthetic identity\.
