Elegant antique pocket watch, also called a fob watch, dating from the Art Nouveau period, circa 1890-1910. This mechanical timepiece in solid silver stands out for its delicate dimensions, classic dial, and its beautiful engraved decoration, typical of the late 19th century.

The back of the case features a superb chased decoration composed of scrolls and floral motifs, with a central blank cartouche. The inner dust cover bears a hallmark attesting to the silver work. The serial numbers 3680 / 63680 are engraved inside the case.

The white enamel dial shows Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes. It is complemented by finely engraved hands that accentuate the elegance of this antique watch.

The hand-wound mechanical movement is equipped with a cylinder escapement, a traditional watchmaking system used on many pocket watches from this period.

Condition and operation

Mechanical condition: the watch runs perfectly during the tests carried out. Winding is smooth and the watch keeps time.

Aesthetic condition: very good overall preservation. The case and dial show light signs of wear consistent with age and use, visible in the photographs. These marks attest to its history and age.
