Description from the seller
Collection of five abstract works by the Swiss top artist Eugen Meier, all in one purchase!
Success after success at Catawiki auctions: another chance to acquire works by this artist.
Eugen Meier was born in 1936 in Zurich, Switzerland. He is an architect and painter and currently lives and works in Zurich and in the southwest of France.
“CROWD” is the main theme of his artworks. Meier’s collages are pulsating snapshots of great intensity – the vibration of the crowd.
These are the titles, dimensions and techniques
Blue Space 30x30 cm - Collage acrylic mixed media on canvas
Dark 30x30 cm - Acrylic on canvas
Relief 42x42 cm - Wood, plastic, acrylic mixed technique
Crowd 40x40 cm - Acrylic on canvas
Hump Yard 61x61 cm - relief mixed technique
The work Hump Yard is a relief with many objects and ornaments; this is the largest and most valuable piece. It was previously appraised by Catawiki at 1500 euros.
The work is in good condition. Hump Yard and It is now 40 years old, so a few light signs of aging are present. The photographs are part of the description.
I am selling these five works because together they provide a wonderful overview of Eugen Meier’s versatility and powerful techniques. Separated, the works would not do them justice.
You will receive the exhibition catalog with this work.
