Escuela Fauvista Europea (XX) - La Catedral

Title: The Cathedral

School: European Fauvist School (20th century)

Style: Fauvism / Expressionism

Technique: Oil on panel

Condition: Generally good overall state of conservation.

Circle and artistic influence:
The intensity of the yellow, the dark outlines and the architectural simplification place the work within a Fauvist and Expressionist interpretation of the urban landscape. The color is used for emotional purposes rather than strictly naturalistic.

A frontal view of a two-tower cathedral that dominates a cluster of urban buildings. Intensely yellows and ochers build the façades, while the black drawing reinforces their profiles. The geometric reduction of the architecture and the vibrant chromaticism give the whole a strongly modern character.

Dark wooden frame, simple and with straight lines, that delimitates the painting without competing with its strong chromaticism.

Observations:

The work may incur damage during transport even with proper packaging. In such case, we will require photographs of the defects to proceed with compensation. Customer satisfaction is always our priority.

Exceptionally, shipping costs may be affected by a surcharge due to causes such as being outside a continental territory, excessive dimensions, or weight of the item. PremiArt will not cover this surcharge.

The courier that must cross the Swiss border can be delayed much more than normal, so, if possible to speed up the processing, we will provide the customs number that is holding the shipment so that the customer can unlock it and thus reach its destination. Experience has shown that this is the most effective solution for both parties

Due to the high volume of shipments it is possible that the order is delayed more than three days, so we apologize and thank you for your patience. Any questions about your order please contact us via internal messaging
