Biography:
JonOne (French-American, born 1963 in New York), renowned for graffiti-influenced works, was born in the Harlem neighborhood, where the art of colorful and elaborate graffiti evolves. He began creating graffiti of his name, with a childhood friend, from the age of 17. In 1984, he founded the Graffiti 156 All Starz collective to bring together the passion of graffiti artists.
After moving to Paris in 1987, he began working as a painter on canvas in a studio. He quickly built a name in Parisian artistic circles thanks to his canvas works, and in 1990 he was exhibited at Gallery 45 in Berlin and participated in the Graffiti Paris exhibition, where his work is presented on a permanent basis.
