Title: Winter on the Lake
ㅤ
School: French Impressionist School (19th century)
ㅤ
Style: Impressionism with Romantic influence
ㅤ
Technique: Oil on panel
ㅤ
Condition: Condition in keeping with its age. Restorations present.
ㅤ
Circle and artistic influence:
The composition relates to 19th-century French landscape painting and the evolution from Romantic landscape toward naturalistic observation associated with Barbizon and later Impressionism. The isolated architecture, the water and the atmospheric sky retain a strong Romantic component.
ㅤ
Landscape with an wintry atmosphere built around a body of water on which a small boat appears. In the background rises a historic character of architecture, while bare trees and a cloudy sky intensify the cold, melancholic feel of the scene.
ㅤ
Dark wooden frame with wide gold decoration of leaves and relief scrolls, giving the whole a historicist presentation in keeping with the theme.
ㅤ
Observations:
ㅤ
Due to its age, the work may show restorations.
ㅤ
The work may incur damage during transport even with proper packaging. In such a case, we will require photographs of the damages to proceed with compensation. Customer satisfaction is always our priority.
ㅤ
Exceptionally, shipping costs may be affected by a surcharge for reasons such as being outside a continental territory, excessive dimensions or weight of the item. PremiArt will never cover this surcharge
ㅤ
The courier that must pass through the Swiss border can be much slower than normal, so, where possible to speed up processing, we will provide the customs number that is holding the shipment so that the client can release it and thus reach its destination. Experience has shown this is the most effective solution for both parties
ㅤ
Due to the high volume of shipments it is possible that the order is delayed more than three days, so we apologize and thank you for your patience. Any questions about your order please contact us via internal messaging
