…The deformed canvas communicates the presence of ideas that press for space, pulsating in a balanced play of solids and voids (here again the sculptural masses), they come to life, disappear quickly, in a dynamic vortex that the wrinkled canvas conveys with immediacy. This result, remarkable and original, is ascribed to the persistent pursuit— the first attempts date back to 1972—that led the artist to ultimately move the surface of the canvas.
