Enrico Martina Chiodo Antico ring, silver 925 with an 18 kt yellow gold setting, featuring a natural emerald, total weight 7.7 g, size EU 59 (IT 19 / US 8¾), new and handmade in Italy.
Description from the seller
Enrico Martina - Ring "Ancient Nail" - Emerald, 925 Silver and 18kt Yellow Gold - New.
Italian Handmade Jewelry - Sculptural and Material Design.
In auction, a ring with raw, material-driven charm, deeply narrative, a work by Italian craftsman Enrico Martina.
This model is a magnificent reinterpretation in the haute jewelry key of an ancient nail forged by hand. A sculptural piece with strong symbolism (connected to strength, construction, and time), designed for those who shun banality and seek a jewel capable of uniting the roughness of a historical artifact with the pure light of a precious gem.
Details of Style and Craftsmanship:
The Forged Nail (925 Silver): The ring’s body faithfully reproduces the features of an ancient nail, softly bent to wrap around the finger. Made in solid 925 Silver, the metal features a deliberately rough, hammered, scratched and deeply darkened (oxidized) finish. This “lived” texture gives the jewelry the authentic appearance of a tool resurfaced from the past. On the side of the band proudly sits the brand inscription.
The Nail Head (18kt Yellow Gold): It is precisely in the nail head, enclosed like a secret within the dark silver, that the luxury soul of the piece is revealed. A solid setting worked in precious yellow gold 18 kt rises at the center of the circular element.
The Green Spark (Emerald): Set with extreme precision inside the gold setting, shines a magnificent natural Emerald of 1.5 mm. The vivid, intense, piercing green of the gemstone, enhanced by the warmth of the yellow gold, creates a dramatic and magnetic contrast against the dark, matte surface of the silver.
A jewel of extreme character, where the shape of a humble past tool bends to shelter a spark of pure elegance.
