Bottle - Cast Bronze - Bronze Flower Vase

This is a traditional Japanese bronze hanairi flower vase, modelled after the ancient Chinese Gu bronze vessel form, widely used for Buddhist altar display and ikebana arrangement.
The surface is decorated with fine raised relief lotus flower motifs. Two well-sculpted beast-head handles protrude from the sides. Neck band and tall foot are adorned with classic repeating archaic patterns.
Finished in a deep dark brown-black aged patina with subtle highlights on the relief details.
Solid heavy bronze construction. The base is unmarked.
