The work unites the universe of Pokémon with Vincent van Gogh's famous post-impressionist painting style. In the foreground sits Pikachu, depicted with a broad joyful expression as it runs through a field of golden wheat. At the top, immersed in the night sky characterized by spiral brushstrokes, bright stars and a crescent moon, the Ghost-type Pokémon Gengar looms, menacing yet smiling. In the background, dark hills, a small village with a bell tower, and twisted trees appear, realized with the Dutch artist’s characteristic brushwork and painting texture. The warm colors of the field and Pikachu’s cheeks contrast with the deep tones of blue, purple, and yellow that animate the starry sky.
