Refined and scenographic Valentino short dress, part of the Spring/Summer 2020 collection designed by Pierpaolo Piccioli and presented in Paris.
Entirely made in silk, the model reinterprets the retro elegance of the Sixties with a short black-and-white silhouette, enriched on the front with elaborate floral embroidery with sequins shaded in pink, white and red tones, black appliqués and luminous crystals.
The upper part is fitted and opens into a short, slightly flared skirt, while the sleeves are long and softly gathered at the cuffs. The neckline is decorated with a long coordinating ivory silk scarf, which can be tied or left to fall freely.
An elegant, original, immediately recognizable archival piece, expression of the poetic and contemporary aesthetic that has characterized Pierpaolo Piccioli’s creative direction for Valentino.
