Description from the seller
Important Late-Victorian Drop Earrings (Late 19th Century)
Refined pair of vintage Late-Victorian drop earrings, meticulously handcrafted in 9kt yellow gold and silver, enriched with an ornate pierced geometric-floral filigree and enhanced by 36 natural diamonds totaling 1.00 ct.
This splendid pair of pendants stands out for extraordinary formal elegance and harmonious proportions: at 6 cm in length, they present a slender, light structure that is not overly intrusive on the earlobe, perfect for enhancing the face.
The setting follows the classic jewelry-making tradition of the late 19th century: the front portion is entirely worked in patinated antique silver to best securely set the stones and confer that chromatic depth typical of antique jewelry; the back part and the hook are made in solid 9kt rose gold. The pierced drop design encloses at the center a larger diamond, surrounded by a shower of gems that gracefully gradient from commercial white to warm brown tones, giving the piece an incomparable historic charm.
