2019 Domaine Sainte Croix "Magneric" - Corbières - 6 Bottles (0.75L)

6 bottles from Domaine Sainte Croix, cuvée Magneric 2019.

The origin of the name, “Magneric,” is an exceptionally qualitative Grenache Noir vineyard located in the hills.
Organic wine.
Grape varieties: Old Grenache Noir 29%, Old Carignan Noir 31%, Syrah 35%, Mourvèdre 5%.
Vines pruned in goblet with two buds and aged 60 and 105 years for Grenache and Carignan respectively. Syrah is pruned in simple Guyot.
Aging on lees in stainless steel tank (30%), and in French oak barrels (228/300/400 litres) for 16 months.
No fining, tangential filtration.

Color fairly deep with violet-red highlights. On the nose and palate, notes of blackberry, wild raspberry, cassis and fig, accompanied by a touch of oak.
The richness and concentration are balanced by the freshness of the Carignan.
Tannins, both dense and fine, fill the mouth of this wine, which finishes with aromas of cassis, prune and crushed stone.
