"The series of 'Excentric Voyages' presented itself to the public in an exceptionally attractive form. Because of the originality of their appearance: a front cover adorned with a full‑plate polychrome motif related to the subject of the work, faithful to the very imaginative character of the author. As for the back, it is also personalized for each title by a vignette depicting the central character of the narrative. This variety conferring on the whole collection an unparalleled place in the field of bound volumes in percaline with decoration."
