Mar Legón - Cabaña roja - XL

CABAÑA ROJA-XL
95 x 70 cm
Acrylic on canvas · 2026

Cabaña roja presents a dialogue between interior and landscape, where architecture becomes a device for contemplation. The scene is organized around an open window that frames a turquoise lake, surrounded by mountains and vegetation, creating a deeply structured composition.

Color contrast is key: the intense reds of the interior converse with the blues and greens of the exterior, producing a balanced tension between warmth and freshness. This contrast is not only visual but also sensory, suggesting the transition between refuge and open nature.

The composition guides the gaze toward the horizon through clear lines —the platform, the water, the mountains— which build a serene and stable perspective. The small central islet introduces a visual anchor point that balances the vastness of the landscape.

Inside, domestic elements —cushions, textiles, flowers— add an intimate dimension that contrasts with the exterior’s monumental scale, reinforcing the idea of pause and observation.

The work presents itself as a suspended space, where time seems stopped, inviting you to inhabit the scene from a sense of calm.
