Artist's biography:

Son of painter and watercolorist Josep Sarquella Escobet. His work shows ease in handling the material learned from his father, which he combines with a brilliant sense of color and a correct use of luminous effects. His work focuses on the landscapes of the Costa Brava, captured through a firm and bold palette.

Joan Sarquella has participated in numerous group exhibitions and held several solo shows, such as the one organized at the Palamós Artistic Circle in 2005, or in the same town at the Sala Oxigen in 2007. His works are recognized and highly valued among art collectors.
