The artistic and polymorphic talent of Paolo Desario shines with force through his works, releasing a vitality that feels almost tangible. His inspiration stems from an inner search that recalls ancient and primordial echoes, as suggested by the sinuously sculpted female torsos and the winged figures.
The vast body of paintings ranges across themes and experimentation: the most recent works draw predominantly from glimpses of the places that surround the artist; seascapes and countryside snapshots come to life with decisive brushstrokes and vivid colors. Lunar scenes and clear skies capture the viewer’s eye thanks to a skilful use of blue, moving from the brightest tones to the darker ones with great intensity.

Sculptor and painter, Paolo Desario was born in Barletta, in Puglia, and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bari in the sculpture school of Amerigo Tot. He lives and works in Barletta, has taught Plastic Arts at the State Art High School "Sacro Cuore" of Cerignola and at the Art High School of Corato. He boasts an artistic career begun almost 50 years ago, dedicating himself to sculpture and painting, participating in numerous national and international solo and group exhibitions.
