A beautiful lot of three bottles of Gran Cruz Vintage Port from the 2005 harvest, now with over 20 years of bottle ageing.

Produced in Portugal's renowned Douro Valley by Porto Cruz, a historic Port wine house established in 1887, this Vintage Port offers an opportunity to discover a mature expression of one of Portugal's most celebrated fortified wines.

**The Wine**

The 2005 Gran Cruz Vintage Port comes from a vintage in which selected Port houses declared individual Vintage Ports, rather than a widespread general declaration.

Made from traditional Douro grape varieties, this Port offers a rich, concentrated style, characterised by ripe dark fruits, subtle spice and a full-bodied structure.

Vintage Port is bottled young and develops its complexity through extended bottle ageing. After more than two decades, these bottles have reached an interesting stage of maturity, offering an excellent opportunity for enthusiasts of aged Portuguese Port.

All three bottles are in good overall visual condition, with intact capsules and well-preserved labels.

Fill levels have been checked individually and are indicated by the yellow arrow markers visible in the photographs. All three bottles show consistent fill levels around the lower neck / upper shoulder area.

The bottles have been stored under controlled temperature, humidity and light conditions.
