Broken Wall
Broken Wall arises from Mart Signed's research into the relationship between street art, matter, and urban memory.
The project brings a fragment of street language into homes, galleries, and private collections, transforming a surface marked by time into a contemporary artwork.
The wall is not only the support of the image, but becomes an integral part of the work.
Its surface, the ruptures, the traces of time, and the natural characteristics of the material preserve the link with the urban context from which street art originates.
The fracture thus becomes an element of the artistic language: the boundary between the street and the exhibition space is broken and the urban fragment finds a new placement.
The work
Every path is marked by a final gesture.
A single stroke of the brush turns 22 into 33, making a common number a symbol.
An essential gesture that goes beyond the image: sacrifice, creation, hope, and memory meet in a single final sign.
The work does not impose an answer, but leaves each observer free to find their own interpretation.
The stencil is made directly on the support: this is not a print or reproduction.
The work depicted in the photographs is exactly what the collector will receive.
Materials and authenticity
Materials recovered from the street are chosen to maintain the living link with the original street art language.
Marks, abrasions, variations in the surface, irregularities, and natural imperfections are not defects, but elements that belong to the material's history and to the identity of the work.
These characteristics are deliberately preserved and integrated into the creative process.
The work is signed, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist, and delivered ready to hang.
The frame is not included unless otherwise indicated for the specific exemplar.

The artist
Mart Signed is an Italian street artist active internationally.

His research connects street art, urban memory, recovered materials, and space transformation.

Edition and uniqueness
Broken Wall comprises a limited series of 20 unique works.
Each piece is produced individually and no two pieces can be identical. The shape of the support, the break, the surface, the marks, the imperfections, and the material characteristics naturally vary from one work to another, making each piece unique.
The 20 works share the same artistic project and the same conceptual core, but each maintains its own physical and visual identity.
They are therefore not 20 copies or reproductions of the same work, but 20 unique and different pieces, all belonging to the Broken Wall series.
Each work is identified by a specific code printed on the certificate of authenticity.
