Dial and Hands
The exceptionally clean and attractive silver dial features a textured sparkle or stardust finish. Applied black baton indices provide clear contrast against the bright surface, complemented by a framed date window positioned at three o'clock. The dial printing remains clean with no visible loss, and there is no significant spotting or staining. Well preserved and highly legible, the black painted baton hands and matching black sweep seconds hand exhibit a clean finish with no visible corrosion or paint loss.
Case and Crystal
The stainless steel C-shape case displays honest wear with well-preserved geometry. It features a tonneau profile with sweeping lugs and no traditional bezel, retaining visible brushed finishing on the case flanks. The smooth steel bezel and the case show light scratches and handling marks consistent with age. The screw-back case displays a crisp hippocampus engraving in the center. The watch is fitted with a knurled crown, signed with a defined Omega logo. A domed acrylic crystal protects the dial, showing light surface scratches visible at certain angles but remaining free of deep cracks or chips.
Movement
Powering this timepiece is the automatic Omega Caliber 565, featuring 24 jewels and a copper-colored finish. The clean plates and bridges show no visible corrosion or significant oxidation, and the automatic rotor is present. The caliber oscillates at 19,800 vibrations per hour, provides a 50-hour power reserve, and includes a quickset mechanism for the date. Recording +5+7s/day on the timegrapher, it is exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece.
Strap
The watch is paired with a complementary black leather strap featuring white contrast stitching. It is secured by a stainless steel buckle signed with the Omega logo. The strap is in good condition with normal wear.
Condition
Excellent vintage condition. The exceptionally clean dial and hands are remarkably well preserved. The stainless steel case and smooth bezel show honest, light scratches and handling marks consistent with age, while the domed acrylic crystal exhibits light surface scratches. Supported by the recorded timegrapher result, the movement is performing very strongly.
