Brand: Omega
Model: Seamaster
Reference Number: 166.010 SP / 168.024
Serial Number: 28942626
Movement: Automatic, Caliber 565, 24 jewels
Dial: Silver sunburst with applied faceted indices
Case Size: 35mm (excluding the crown)
Case Material: Stainless steel
Production Year: 1969
Condition: Good vintage condition. Timegrapher: -8-10s/day, performing remarkably well.

Dial and Hands
The dial presents a classic silver sunburst finish accented by applied faceted indices. An even, attractive patina and visible spotting are distributed across the surface, giving the watch a distinct vintage character. The dauphine style hands show visible oxidation and spotting on the metal surfaces, while the lume plots have darkened significantly with age. The text remains clear, reading OMEGA AUTOMATIC Seamaster.

Case and Crystal
The stainless steel case retains well-defined lug geometry alongside honest wear. Light scratches and handling marks are present throughout the case surfaces. The smooth steel bezel displays light scratches consistent with the general wear of the case. A knurled crown, signed with the Omega logo, shows light surface wear. The domed acrylic crystal exhibits light surface scratches visible under reflection. The caseback carries the double-reference 166.010 SP / 168.024 markings.

Movement
Inside is the automatic Omega Caliber 565. The movement features copper-colored plating and presents a clean appearance with no obvious corrosion. The rotor is present and intact, and the caliber is engraved with OMEGA WATCH Co SWISS, TWENTY-FOUR 24 JEWELS, the serial number 28942626, and the Omega symbol. The timegrapher records a rate of -8-10s/day. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece.

Strap
The watch is fitted with its original signed beads of rice style stainless steel bracelet. It secures via a signed folding clasp. The bracelet presents period correct wear, with moderate scratches visible on both the clasp and the links. It accommodates a maximum wrist fit of 17.5cm.

Condition
Good vintage condition. The watch shows honest, age-related wear throughout its components. The dial and hands display visible spotting, oxidation, and darkened lume, contributing to a strong vintage aesthetic. The stainless steel case, bezel, and original bracelet exhibit light to moderate scratches and handling marks, while the acrylic crystal shows light surface scratches. The recorded timegrapher result is -8-10s/day.

Dimensions
The case size is 35mm (excluding the crown).

Remarks
This Seamaster delivers a highly traditional configuration with its original beads of rice bracelet and reliable Caliber 565 movement. The even patina across the silver sunburst dial provides a strong visual presence, making it a compelling honest example of a late 1960s Omega.

History
The Omega Seamaster was introduced in 1948 and was originally designed as a robust watch for active daily wear. Over the decades, it evolved into one of the most recognized model lines in watchmaking. The 1960s era of the Seamaster is particularly appreciated for its refined proportions and reliable automatic calibers, establishing a design language that remains highly respected among collectors today.
