BLACK ARROW:
Black Arrow is an artist born in the 1980s, fed by urban culture and the cartoons of his childhood. His signature – a black arrow – was born in the street, from a simple and instinctive gesture: to mark a sign that catches the eye, that stops the gaze, that invites looking elsewhere.
For him, the arrow is not just a graphic symbol. It is a message, an invitation to step outside the frame, to resist imposed meaning, to invent his own path. By repeating it on city walls, he sought to create a discreet poetry among the concrete, a reminder to passersby that there are always other directions possible.
This arrow has since become his emblem, accompanying all his creations. His support, radical and singular, is banknotes as well as newspaper paper – which he detours and transforms into artworks. Black Arrow thus chooses faithful reproductions of banknotes, allowing him to explore the symbol of value itself and reinvent it as a poetic and critical vector. In these works, his arrow crosses with pop culture icons and the colorful imaginary of 80s and 90s cartoons.
Black Arrow has chosen to work exclusively with Prime Art Gallery, to whom he has entrusted the mission of supporting and disseminating his universe
