Description from the seller
RARE — "Bazooka" Artists' Collective Magazine: Un Regard Moderne, Issue No. 1 (March 1978) - First Edition.
Description:
An authentic original copy of the legendary issue No. 1 of the cult underground magazine "Un Regard Moderne", published in March 1978.
Designed as a visual and provocative supplement to the French daily newspaper Libération, this publication is the masterpiece of the famous punk collective Bazooka (Kiki Picasso, Loulou Picasso, Olivia Clavel, Lulu Larsen, Bernard Vidal, Jean Rouzaud).
A true UFO of the late 70s European press, it perfectly embodies their concept of "graphic dictatorship": a radical, cynical, and poetic hijacking of current events through explosive collages and illustrations.
• Format: Large in-4 format, 32 pages, 100% complete.
• Overall Condition: Good vintage condition. The original fuchsia colors on the cover are beautifully bright and well-preserved. Pictures are an integral part of the description.
• Condition details:
• A small tears of approx. 1.5 cm on the top center edge (affecting the cover and the top of the first few inner pages).
• Minor friction wear along the left spine and small fold marks on the corners.
• Light, uniform natural tanning/foxing on the edges of some pages and on the back cover (typical aging for 1970s newspaper stock).
• The interior remains very clean, tight, with no writing or missing pieces.
Mots-clés : bande dessinée alternative, art punk, graphisme, histoire de la presse underground française, Bazooka, Kiki Picasso.
