Description:
The work: A spectacular and dazzling panoramic composition, celebrating the majesty of the perched villages of the Côte d'Azur. In the foreground, a luminous path winds through a poetic profusion of wildflowers in a thousand shades (bright poppies, violet lavenders, golden and rosy touches). It guides the eye toward a village perched on the rock with warm terracotta-tiled roofs, surrounded by tall cypresses and an olive tree bathed in light. In the background, the azure sea stretches to the horizon under the golden and soft glow of a summer sunset.
The technique: Entirely executed in acrylic with a painting knife on canvas mounted on a wooden panel. The knife work provides a rich, structured, and particularly vibrant texture. The impasto generously carves the relief of the path, the floral abundance in the foreground, as well as the stones and roofs of the village, offering an exceptional interplay with the light.
The Artist: With more than 25 years of professional career (established since 2001, first exhibition in 1992), NOLAC (1970) is an accomplished artist. Her knife work is her signature, blending the force of gesture with poetic finesse. She now embraces a freer, instinctive interpretation of the landscape, brushing with luminous and expressive abstraction.
Inclusions: Unique work, direct from her studio, signed, varnished. Delivered with its Certificate of Authenticity.
