BLACK ARROW:
Black Arrow is an artist born in the 1980s, nourished by urban culture and the cartoons of his childhood. His signature – a black arrow – was born in the street, from a simple, instinctive gesture: to mark a sign that catches the eye, that stops the gaze, that invites looking elsewhere.
For him, the arrow is not just a graphic symbol. It is a message, an invitation to break out of the frame, to resist the imposed meaning, to invent his own path. By repeating it on the city walls, he sought to create a discreet poetry in the middle of concrete, a reminder to passersby that there are always other possible directions.
This arrow has since become his emblem, accompanying all his creations. His support, radical and singular, is banknotes as well as newspaper pages – which he defaces and transforms into works. Black Arrow chooses for this faithful replicas of banknotes, which allow him to explore the symbol of value itself and reinvent it as a poetic and critical vector. In these works, his arrow crosses icons of pop culture and the colorful imagination of cartoons from the 80s and 90s.
Black Arrow has chosen to work exclusively with Prime Art Galerie, to whom he has entrusted the mission of supporting and disseminating his universe
