Ron Meilof (1953 - 2016) - Veulens met een kip in de stal

RONALD MEILOF

23 January 1953 - 14 February 2016

Ronald Meilof was born in 1953 in ’t Gooi, an area of enchanting landscapes. Meilof has little or no artistic background. An academic education is also unfamiliar to him. An autodidact, then. Many artists, in any field, have in the past proven that self-study can clear the way to a career. However, he did not acquire his knowledge entirely without mentors, among whom were D. de Vries and H. van Moerkerken.

It is mainly the landscapes that are highly sought after by a large audience, and not only in his own country. Also in America, England and Germany, enthusiasts flock to the exhibitions where Meilof presents himself.
