AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Antique cash box / document chest with key | approx. late 19th–early 20th century
Distinctive antique wooden cash box or document chest with a working lock and matching key. The chest is finished in a dark green color and features decorative ornaments on the front, including a beautiful relief portrait of a woman.
The chest has a sturdy construction, with heavy hinges running the full width of the lid, wrought-iron carrying handles on the sides, and its original locking mechanism. Thanks to their solid construction, chests of this type were often used to store securities, records, cash, or other valuable possessions.
The interior is simple and functional. The chest still has its original key, a detail often missing from objects of this kind.
The chest has an attractive weathered appearance, with signs of use consistent with its age. This adds to the object's authentic character.

Height: approx. 33 cm
Condition: Good antique condition with normal signs of use and age. Wear to the paintwork and fittings consistent with age and use. See photos for a complete impression of its condition.
