This is a handsome pocket watch with a working cylinder movement, probably dating from the first half of the 19th century.
Originating from and hallmarked in Birmingham, England, it can be identified by the anchor stamped inside the case as a hallmark. The 9-carat gold content is also very typical of English watch cases.
It is a charming and interesting antique pocket watch.

A few superficial scratches or signs of wear (often called hairlines in English) are visible on the back.

Service history is clearly visible in the engravings inside the case.

The watch is ticking and weighs 44 grams.

Het betreft een fraai vestzakhorloge met een lopend cilinderuurwerk, vermoedelijk daterend uit de eerste helft van de 19e eeuw. 
Afkomstig en gekeurd in Birmingham Engeland, Dit is te herkennen aan het anker dat als keurmerk in de kast is gestempeld. Ook het goudgehalte van 9 karaat is zeer typerend voor Engelse horlogekasten. 
Het is een leuk en interessant antiek vestzakhorloge. 

Aan de achterzijde zijn enkele oppervlakkige krasjes of gebruikskrasjes  (in het Engels vaak hairlines genoemd) zichtbaar.

Onderhoudsbeurten zijn middels gravering duidelijk zichtbaar in de kast.

Het horloge tikt en weegt 44 gram.
