Description from the seller
Coral
Series: Runway
Description
Coral represents a woman moving toward the horizon, captured from behind in a moment of movement and freedom. The white dress, crossed by strokes of pink and red, gains dynamism with each step and becomes an extension of the body.
The landscape is built with color planes that evoke the sea, the sky, and a coastal architecture. The blues and greens create a serene atmosphere that contrasts with the intensity of the pink and red of the dress.
The figure does not stop or pose: she walks. That decision gives the work a sense of independence, journey, and transformation.
Contemporary vision
Within the Runway series, Coral presents a view of fashion distant from the conventional runway. Here, the runway becomes an open space: a landscape where the woman moves forward, travels, and constructs her own path.
The absence of the face shifts the interest toward the silhouette, the dress, and the movement. Identity is not in the character’s features, but in her attitude and the way she occupies space.
The painting thus combines fashion, landscape, and movement, using a free brushstroke and large chromatic fields to create a contemporary, luminous, and emotional image.

R. Serra is a visual artist based in Spain whose practice centers on pictorial research and the mechanisms of image construction. His training in Plastic Arts, with a specialty in painting, together with later studies in graphic design, shapes a language that places painting in dialogue with the aesthetics and visual logics of digital culture.
His work investigates memory as an editing and reconstruction process, where lived and imagined memories converge to generate images that question the stability of representation. Through painting, he explores tensions between presence and absence, experience and fiction, proposing scenes suspended between the intimate and the universal.
Over the last decade he has developed a curatorial trajectory that includes group exhibitions in national and international galleries, consolidating his presence in the context of contemporary art.
