Set of three hand-carved wooden boxes with metal fittings, dating from 1940–2000, origin India, in excellent used condition.
Description from the seller
1-59-BRGSNLRNZ F Card holder, a hand-carved wooden jewelry box with geometric motifs, dating from the Soviet Union period (USSR) between the 1950s and 1990s.
The artisanal piece features a central star motif on the lid. Geometric sawtooth carvings along the edges and sides; solid wood construction with a dark finish or stain.
The warmth of the wood and the small signs of aging give this box authentic charm, perfect as a decorative element for rustic, boho or mid-century modern spaces, as well as a practical keeper for your jewelry or small keepsakes.
Measurements: 13 x 8 x 6 cm, 140 g
2- 57- CMP F Jewelry box or chest in hand-carved wood with a domed lid (in the shape of a small safe), typically handmade in ebony wood and decorated with relief floral motifs.
The top is enhanced by a rich and detailed artisanal carving in floral motifs, giving the object dimensionality and warmth.
Thanks to the natural grain of the wood and the glossy finish, this piece fits perfectly as a vintage decorative item, keepsake box, jewelry box or elegant catch-all.
Measurements: 20 x 12 x 10 cm, weight 660 g
3- GNN 25 Antique Jewelry Chest / Writing desk/Portmanteau in Worked Wood and Brass – Oriental/Anglo-Indian Style, Early 1900s
Fascinating and refined antique chest for collection, usable as an elegant jewelry box, desk box (plumier/pen holder) or decorative furnishing.
The chest features a solid wood structure with a dome-shaped lid, entirely clad with rich artisanal workmanship. The surface bears a beautiful brass armor finely pierced with geometric and vegetal motifs (vine tendrils and foliage), creating a striking color and tactile contrast.
Equipped with a front locking clasp in original brass of the period. A unique piece that carries the charm of Oriental craftsmanship from the first half of the 20th century Anglo-Indian/Ottoman.
It is in good vintage condition, solid and structurally intact. Shows normal and fascinating signs of time and age (slight patina on brass and minor wear on the plate), authenticating its era and increasing its collectible value. Hinges working perfectly.
Measurements: 18 x 5 x 5.5 cm. Weight 250 g
