When a strand tells a story, this one tells many. Over half a metre of antique Venetian glass trade beads, each one different, each one made by hand in the furnaces of Murano centuries ago. No two beads are alike: millefiori rosettes, bold polychrome stripes, concentric eye patterns, mosaic overlays, marbled swirls — and right at the centre, an antique Dutch smooth cobalt-blue oval bead that anchors the whole composition with unexpected calm.
