The Breath of Lines is an abstract work that explores movement, the spontaneity of gesture, and the dialogue between matter and space. On a light background, in shades of off-white and beige, black lines unfold freely, drawing trajectories, curves and shapes that seem to be formed as the movement unfolds.

The black lines, sometimes fine and delicate, sometimes thick and assertive, structure the composition while preserving a great expressive freedom. They cross, extend and interlace, creating a visual dynamic that naturally guides the eye across the surface of the canvas.

Ochre and golden traces appear in the textured background, bringing warmth, depth and subtlety to the whole. The material, marked by overlays, irregularities and variations in texture, preserves the memory of the creation process and reinforces the painting’s living character.

The balance between spontaneous lines and more open areas gives the work a particular rhythm, both controlled and instinctive. The contrast between deep black and light tones highlights each gesture, while earthy hues evoke an organic, almost mineral dimension.
