AUTHENTICITY, CONDITION AND DOCUMENTATION
Condition and authenticity verification are central elements of our activity. Jewelry and objects in gold and silver, silverware, watches, clothing and signed accessories are examined according to the characteristics of the individual item and the available documentation.
Any certificates or expert reports are provided when expressly indicated in the description or can be requested before the offer, agreeing on availability, content and any costs. The Catawiki expert review is separate from our expert activity and does not replace an individual certificate.
The description and photographs document the item offered, its accessories and the declared conditions. For used or vintage items, signs of time and use are evaluated in relation to the nature, era and condition of the item. Photographs supplement the description without limiting responsibility for incorrect features or undisclosed defects.
Only accessories and documents expressly indicated are included. The brands mentioned belong to their respective holders; their mention identifies the objects and does not imply affiliation or authorization of the brand.

PREPARATION, SHIPMENT AND DELIVERY
Each item is checked, cleaned or sanitized using methods compatible with the materials and its preservation, then carefully packed.
Shipping is tracked and insured according to the service conditions used. Items may be stored in different warehouses: consider about 7–10 days for delivery, unless otherwise indicated in the order, for particular destinations or customs delays. The shipment will take place within the terms provided by Catawiki and communicated for the order; the estimated delivery time does not constitute an extension of the shipping term.
Upon receipt, check the packaging. In case of dents, cuts, openings or breaks, ask the courier to note a specific reservation, if possible. We recommend photographing the package before and after opening and keeping the packaging, protective materials and label to facilitate any insurance verifications.
The absence of a reservation, photographs or packaging does not automatically entail the loss of consumer rights. In consumer sales, transport risk is governed by art. 63 of the Consumer Code.

ASSISTANCE AND REPORTS
For any clarification or problem, contact us via the order messaging on Catawiki, indicating the lot number and describing what you found.
In case of damage, item not as described or missing content, promptly report the issue also to Catawiki support, preferably immediately and in any case within the 3 days provided by the platform procedure, to allow the handling of the complaint and possible suspension of payment.
This operational term does not imply loss of the right of withdrawal or of the legal guarantee under applicable terms.

CONSUMER WITHDRAWAL
When the buyer acts as a consumer and the legal conditions apply, they may exercise the right of withdrawal without motivation within 14 days of receiving the item, pursuant to arts. 52 and following of Legislative Decree 206/2005, subject to exceptions provided by law.
The decision must be communicated by an explicit declaration to the seller, also using the Catawiki procedure. The item must be returned within 14 days from the withdrawal notification.
For mere reconsideration, the direct cost of return is borne by the buyer, unless otherwise agreed. Amounts due by law will be reimbursed, including standard initial delivery charges; higher costs for a pricier delivery chosen by the buyer are not refundable.
Refund is made without undue delay and within legal terms, with the possibility of suspending it until receipt of the item or proof of return, according to regulatory provisions. Amounts collected directly by Catawiki are managed through the platform according to its competencies, subject to non-derogable rights.
The buyer is responsible for any value reduction resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to verify the nature, characteristics and functioning of the item, within the legal limits.

LEGAL WARRANTY AND DEFECTS OF CONFORMITY
In consumer sales, the legal conformity warranty provided by arts. 128 and following of the Consumer Code applies, even for used goods, taking into account prior use and contractually declared characteristics.
The ordinary duration of liability is two years from delivery. For used goods, any reduction, however not less than one year, applies only if validly agreed and permitted by applicable law.
In case of a defect of conformity, the consumer is entitled to the remedies provided by law: repair or replacement, where feasible, or a price reduction or contract termination when the conditions apply.
Our commercial preference is to resolve valid disputes by returning the item and providing a full refund when appropriate, rather than negotiating informal discounts. This preference does not exclude mandatory remedies, including price reduction.
When return is due to a defect attributable to the seller, the necessary costs are borne by us within the limits of the law. Costs for other cancellation scenarios are determined by the cause of cancellation and applicable provisions.

RETURNS, REPAIRS AND INTEGRITY OF THE ITEM
Before carrying out repairs, restorations, adjustments, or interventions by third parties, contact us to allow problem verification and agreement on the solution. Unapproved interventions may alter the original state, compromise assessments and affect liability for damages or defects caused by them.
Automatic refunds for interventions commissioned independently by third parties are not provided. The undenied rights of the buyer remain: an unauthorized intervention does not, by itself, entail loss of all protection for defects unrelated to the intervention.
The returned item must include the accessories and documents received and be protected with appropriate packaging. Please attach the order reference and, if available, a copy of the sale document. The original receipt is not the only admissible proof of purchase.

EXTRA-EU SHIPMENTS AND CUSTOMS COMPLIANCE
For destinations outside the European Union, including the United Kingdom, Switzerland, China, Taiwan, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates, duties, taxes and customs clearance charges may apply, depending on the destination and order conditions. Amounts already collected by the platform should not be considered automatically due again.
When necessary, fiscal or identifying data may be requested for customs clearance. The passport number will be requested only if actually required by applicable rules or the carrier’s documented instructions or the competent authority.
We invite buyers to check in advance for any import restrictions. For goods subject to special regimes, including CITES or cultural property, shipment remains subject to the legal possibility of export and import and the necessary documents.

CUSTOMER IDENTIFICATION AND DATA PROTECTION
In the case of distant sale of jewelry subject to identification obligations, a valid ID document is required and remote identification is performed according to the modalities provided by applicable law.
If indispensable information is missing to comply with a legal obligation, the transaction cannot be completed until regularized. Any cancellation and refund will be managed with Catawiki according to the applicable regulations and conditions, without automatic liability exclusions.
Personal data will be processed for contractual, tax, customs purposes and for applicable legal obligations, in compliance with EU Regulation 2016/679 and Legislative Decree 196/2003. Only data strictly necessary will be requested, with information on purposes, methods and retention times.
