Description from the seller
Braeckman Single Grain Whisky – 12-Year Bourbon Barrel & 10-Year Cognac Cask – Two Bottles
A distinctive two-bottle selection from Braeckman Distillery in Oudenaarde, Belgium, showcasing two different single-cask maturation styles.
The first bottle is a 12-year-old Belgian single grain whisky, distilled in 2007 and matured in a first-fill bourbon barrel. Bottled at cask strength, it comes from Cask No. 95 and is individually numbered 074/219.
The second is a 10-year-old Belgian single grain whisky, distilled in 2010 and matured in a Cognac cask. Bottled at cask strength, it comes from Cask No. 54 and is individually numbered 128/446. This bottling was selected for Belgium.
Both whiskies are made from Braeckman’s blend of rye and malted barley and are non-chill filtered. The bourbon-cask whisky combines rye spice with smooth vanilla notes, while the Cognac-cask maturation adds complexity and fruitiness.
