Description from the seller
ON OFFER
Highly sought-after Chenin Blanc from one of Anjou’s most respected small producers
Les Nourrissons is the rarest and most celebrated cuvée from Stéphane Bernaudeau, the acclaimed winemaker based in Martigné-Briand (Anjou). Sourced from very old Chenin Blanc vines (planted in 1900) farmed organically, this wine represents the pinnacle of Bernaudeau’s work — combining intensity, precision and profound mineral depth. Production is extremely limited, and bottles are fiercely contested by collectors and top sommeliers worldwide.
WINE DETAILS
Producer: Stéphane Bernaudeau
Cuvée: Les Nourrissons
Vintage: 2023
Region: Anjou, Loire Valley, France
Grape Variety: 100% Chenin Blanc (from old vines, planted 1900)
Farming: Organic (practised; no formal certification stated)

VINIFICATION
Les Nourrissons is crafted with the utmost care and minimal intervention. Fermented with indigenous yeasts, the wine is matured in used oak barrels, allowing for a gentle integration of texture without masking the purity of the fruit. The old vines, deeply rooted in schist soils, yield tiny quantities of grapes, resulting in a Chenin Blanc of remarkable concentration, crystalline acidity and a long, mineral-driven finish.
ABOUT THE PRODUCER
Stéphane Bernaudeau began bottling under his own name while working alongside Mark Angeli of La Ferme de la Sansonnière. His meticulous vineyard work and low-intervention approach in the cellar have established his wines as benchmarks for terroir-driven, natural-style Chenin Blanc in the Loire Valley. Les Nourrissons is his most coveted bottling, regarded as one of the greatest expressions of Chenin in Anjou.
STORAGE
This bottle has been stored in a temperature-controlled wine cabinet and remains in excellent condition.
