AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Vasco
Oil and acrylic on canvas
100 cm x 140 cm (39 inches x 55 inches)
Vasco seems to have a question and perhaps already knows the answer. With one hand resting beneath his chin, a raised eyebrow and an uneven gaze, he meets the viewer with a mixture of curiosity and quiet scepticism. His angular pose gives the portrait a personality that feels immediately familiar.
Executed in a contemporary neo-naïve style, the painting combines exaggerated proportions, spare facial details and freely drawn contours. Vasco stands against a black background, while mustard yellow and deep burgundy bring warmth to the composition. Checks and stripes introduce a playful rhythm across the broad, simplified forms.
Visible brushwork and irregular lines preserve the painting’s spontaneous character. Part of an ongoing series of distinctive personalities, Vasco brings a thoughtful, slightly mischievous presence to the collection.
This original painting by VITYRA is hand-signed on the reverse side to preserve the purity of the artwork’s surface and comes with a certificate of authenticity. The artwork will be shipped rolled in a secure, protective tube, an eco-friendly and safe method that reduces shipping costs and risk of damage. The canvas measures 100 x 140 cm (39 x 55 inches), with an extra 5 cm border on each side for easy re-stretching.
