With Abstraction TC 19, TEHOS continues his exploration of the line as a fundamental element of his visual language. Usually vertical, the lines are inclined here, introducing a new dynamic, as though the material were subjected to an invisible force.
The deep anthracite-grey surface evokes the world of carbon while moving closer to a mineral quality. The fine parallel striations create a dense texture, punctuated by horizontal breaks that fragment the space and alter the direction of the viewer's gaze.
Between geometric precision and organic tension, the work explores notions of balance, gravity, and displacement. The inclination of the lines does not break with verticality; rather, it offers a variation on it, like a movement suspended between stability and the point of tipping over.
