Multidisciplinary photographer, author and musician, David Law develops work focused on gaze, presence and the perception of images in urban space. He first made a name for himself with a series dedicated to shop window mannequins, integrated into the city through a subtle play of reflections and superpositions. Magic Clouds is an invitation to rediscover the childhood game of looking at the sky and recognizing in the clouds animals or imaginary creatures. Each image is built from a photograph of the sky and clouds, whose natural shapes gradually suggest a presence.
The artist intervenes with a minimalist touch: a few small black dots placed where the eyes would be are enough to give rise to a gaze and reveal the animal. A series where chance, imagination and poetry meet.
Edition & Manufacturing
Each work is offered in a limited edition of 8 copies numbered + 4 artist’s proofs (A.P.), signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
