Lanvin’s 2011 strapless women’s cocktail dress is made of cotton, in a nude-beige tone, with sculptural draping and a raw-edge ruffle cascade; size FR 40, made in France.
Description from the seller
Lanvin cocktail dress from 2011, during the Alber Elbaz era, made in France in a refined nude shade.
Strapless silhouette with a sculptural construction, featuring a fitted bodice characterized by a knot and a central drape. The skirt wraps the silhouette with broad diagonal drapes, gathered at the sides into a dramatic cascade of sharply cut ruffles.
A long side metal zipper completes the construction and becomes an integral part of the design.
The dress is made of 88% polyamide and 12% elastane, a stretch composition particularly suited to the fitted and draped silhouettes developed by Lanvin in this period.
The Lanvin Spring 2011 Ready-to-Wear collection, designed by Alber Elbaz, was shown in Paris on September 30, 2010. Vogue described a collection built around “second-skin” dresses, drapes, taupe-tone initial shades and zippers used on the front, back, and sides of the garments: stylistic elements closely related to the construction of this piece.
