published by Nazraeli Press, 2007 in 500 copies

Hardcover, 5 1/2 x 7 1/4
16 pages, 10 four-color plates, 1 original print signed by Shore.

In *Merced River*, Stephen Shore presents photographs taken in places that appear disparate, ranging from mountains to forests to beaches. The key to interpreting this selection of images lies in the original print reproduced at the back of the book: all the photographs are parts of a single set, a landscape photograph made by Shore in Yosemite National Park in 1979
