AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Work by Th. Giraud-Boudignon, French landscape painter and watercolorist active in the first half of the 20th century, specializing in rural scenes, terroir farms and traditional pastoral life of the French provinces.
This is a delicate watercolor representing a scene of alpine pastures. In the foreground a young shepherdess wearing a blue dress guards her herd of cows grazing in a heather meadow. Next to them rises an imposing traditional barn-stable with a very steep thatched roof, typical of middle-mountain areas and the old peasant inhabitant.
Beautiful work for genre enthusiasts.
